I build things that are meant to last — and I try to understand places before I touch them.
I'm Enrico. For about two decades I have worked in residential development: projects, building sites, people and difficult decisions. It is the work I know best, and the one that taught me the most.
What keeps me curious is not the building itself, but what surrounds it — the coastline, the light, the way a town grows around its streets, the habits of the people who live there. I am fascinated by coastlines and by the cultures that grew up facing the sea.
This is my personal space: where I write about the places that shaped me, the ideas I keep returning to, and what I'm still learning.

Growing up on the job
I grew up professionally between projects, building sites, people and difficult decisions. Over the years I learned that developing property means, first of all, interpreting a territory and imagining how people will live in it.

What the sites teach you
A building site is an honest place. Plans meet weather, budgets meet reality, and every shortcut shows up eventually. It taught me patience, and a deep respect for the people who actually build.

Resilience
Not every project goes the way you imagined. The hard moments taught me more than the easy ones: to stay calm, to keep my word, and to start again with a clearer head.
How I see the world
A few convictions I keep coming back to.
“A place is not a plot. It is a story already in progress.”
Before drawing anything, I try to listen: to the wind, the slope, the old walls, the people at the café. The best ideas are usually already there.
“Build slowly, think long.”
Most things worth doing take longer than you want. I'd rather measure work in decades than in seasons.
“The sea is a border and a bridge.”
Islands teach you both isolation and openness. The Mediterranean has always been a meeting point of cultures — I think it still can be.
“Keep your word, especially when it's expensive.”
Reputation is built quietly and lost loudly. In the end, the people you worked with are the only real record of how you worked.
